Adilabad: Two workers were electrocuted when an iron stand they were transferring came into contact with an 11 KV energy line at Myadaripeta village in Dandepalli mandal of Mancherial district on Monday.
The deceased were recognized as Chandanagiri Nagaraju, 34, of Velganur village and Challa Laxminarayana, 33, of Madapur village in Dandepalli mandal. Two others who attempted to rescue them sustained minor accidents.
According to police, the workers were fascinating a gargantuan iron stand from a petroleum pump to the proprietor’s residence when it accidentally touched the overhead electrical line, ensuing within the electrocution.
Relatives of the deceased staged a convey on the petrol pump tense ₹50 lakh compensation from the proprietor. Police registered a case and started an investigation.
In a separate incident, two youths died after their bike hit a avenue divider at Edigama in Nirmal town round heart of the evening on Sunday.
The victims were recognized as Srujan, 33, of Manjulapur village and Praful, 34, of Natarajanagar. Police mentioned the accident occurred when they were travelling in direction of Nirmal from Manjulapur and their bike crashed into the divider. Each and each died on the predicament.
