A Mi-17 defense force helicopter crashed within the Arequipa station of Peru, killing all 15 onboard, collectively with four crew contributors and eleven passengers, the Peruvian Air Power confirmed.

A crammed with 15 other folks died when a defense force helicopter crashed within the Arequipa station of Peru while conducting rescue operations, the air force mentioned on Monday.

In step with AFP, the Mi-17 helicopter lost radio contact Sunday afternoon and the Peruvian Air Power chanced on the 15 other folks unimaginative on Monday.

“Rescue personnel earn confirmed the deaths of the four crew contributors… to boot to the 11 passengers who were on board,” an air force statement said.

It further stated that the incident took place while the helicopter was carrying out rescue operations for victims of floods in Arequipa which have caused widespread damage.
