Florida passes law to rename Palm Seaside Global Airport as President Donald J. Trump Global Airport by July 2026, FAA reviewing fresh DJT code
The renaming would add to a growing checklist of landmarks and initiatives bearing Trump’s title, reflecting his stable political and non-public ties to Florida.
Florida’s Palm Seaside Global Airport could well well rapidly be renamed after US President Donald Trump, following fresh regulations signed by Governor Ron DeSantis.
The bill, passed by the tell’s Dwelling and Senate last month, proposes renaming the airport to “President Donald J. Trump Global Airport.” The change will take effect once approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), with July 1, 2026, set as the target date.
If cleared, the airport—currently known by its code PBI—could also receive a new designation: “DJT.” Officials said updates would lengthen to maps, data, and federal aviation databases. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the Federal Aviation Administration is already working on changing that code, CNN reported.
Hailing the construction, the US President’s son, Eric Trump, said, “Palm Seaside Global Airport is now officially…. “President Donald J. Trump Global Airport! The proposal was introduced by Florida state Representative Meg Weinberger, who has backed efforts to honor Trump in the state. Last year, he was also present at the unveiling of signage for the newly renamed “President Donald J. Trump Boulevard,” the four-mile stretch between the airport and Trump’s non-public club formerly is called Southern Boulevard.

Final week, the US Treasury launched that American paper forex would maintain Trump’s signature starting in summer this year, marking the first time a sitting US President has signed American greenbacks.
