Tejas Networks secures 7/12 BharatNet Phase III deals

Tejas Networks has secured IP routing gear contracts for seven of the 12 BharatNet Fragment III programs announced to this point, making it the largest supplier within the authorities’s flagship rural broadband initiative.

The Tata Team company will deploy over 50,000 indigenously designed TJ1400 routers across 57,000 gram panchayats and 2,000 blocks in 9 states and five union territories, including Bihar, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and some northeastern states.

BharatNet Fragment III, accredited in August 2023 with a ₹1.39 lakh crore funds, goals to upgrade India’s rural center-mile network utilizing IP-MPLS expertise to join roughly 164,000 gram panchayats with excessive-traipse broadband.
