Sikh community commemorates Guru Gobind Singh’s 359th Prakash Utsav in Telangana

The 359th Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, became correctly-known during Telangana on Saturday (December 27, 2025) with spiritual fervour, as Sikh devotees and members of assorted faiths offered prayers at varied gurudwaras.

The concluding tournament became organised under the aegis of the Prabhandak Committee at the Central Gurudwara Saheb, Gowliguda, where a gargantuan congregation gathered at the gurudwara to present prayers to the Guru Granth Sahib.

Organising committee president S. Inder Singh talked about the congregation commenced at 10.30 a.m. and persevered till 4.30 p.m., that contains recitation of spiritual hymns and sermons by renowned preachers invited from varied parts of the country. Amongst of us who performed had been Bhai Satninder Singhji from Amritsar, Bhai Gurvinder Singhji from Rudrapur, Bhai Ravinder Singhji and varied invited preachers.

The audio system highlighted the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh, stressing values equivalent to braveness, righteousness, nationwide integration and communal concord. They spoke about the Guru’s life as a symbol of sacrifice for human rights and his stand for justice, peace and the liberty to practise one’s religion.

After the conclusion of the congregation, Guru Ka Langar (or neighborhood kitchen) became organised, with devotees seated collectively in rows to partake within the neighborhood meal, reflecting the principles of equality and fraternity.
