Inventory market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty jumped 1% in early alternate on Thursday (January 22, 2026), led by advances in PSU banks, Products and services and Auto stocks as world sentiment improved after easing geopolitical alternate tensions, lifting the investor sentiment.
On Thursday (January 22), the 30-part BSE Sensex climbed 774.04 aspects, or 0.94%, to 82,683.67 in early alternate. The 50-part NSE Nifty rose 233.85 aspects, or 0.93%, to 25,391.35.

From the 30-Sensex firms, Tata Metal, Adani Ports, Asian Paints, Bharat Electronics Ltd, Articulate Bank of India, Solar Pharmaceuticals, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Eternal, Trent, Mahindra & Mahindra and Bajaj Finserv were among the many gainers.
On the different hand, ICICI Bank is trading marginally decrease.
