Such misuse, he argued, not only misleads the public but also affects his professional credibility.
Moreover, during the initial hearing, the High Court questioned whether it had the territorial jurisdiction to entertain the matter, noting that Jubin is based in Uttarakhand. The bench reportedly asked his counsel why the case had been filed in Delhi. However, while raising the query, the court proceeded to pass the interim order granting protection.
With this ruling, Jubin joins a growing list of celebrities who have sought judicial protection against personality rights violations. Actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi and R. Madhavan have previously secured similar interim relief from the Delhi High Court.
