The Iranian navy on Wednesday threatened to originate a “decisive and regrettable” retaliation for the killing of security chief Ali Larijani in an Israeli air strike.
“Iran’s response to the assassination of the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council will be decisive and regrettable,” Iranian navy chief Amir Hatami stated in an announcement.
The Modern Guards, Iran’s highly efficient armed forces power that is turn out to be self sustaining from the navy, stated in an announcement Wednesday that it had launched missiles at central Israel “in revenge for the blood of martyr Dr Ali Larijani and his companions”.

Iran’s Nationwide Security Council on Wednesday confirmed the loss of life of its security chief, Ali Larijani, in an overnight Israeli strike, marking a distinguished setback for the Islamic Republic amid the continuing battle.
“The pure souls of the martyrs embraced the purified soul of God’s righteous servant, Martyr Dr. Ali Larijani,” Iran’s converse media read an announcement from the council.
“After a lifetime of war for the advancement of Iran and of the Islamic Revolution, he within the slay attained his prolonged-held aspiration, answered the divine call, and honourably finished the candy grace of martyrdom within the ditch of service,” it added.
According to Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency, Larijani’s funeral will be held on Wednesday.
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed “deep sorrow and regret” at Larijani’s loss of life, announcing, “I saw nothing from him however benevolence, perception, companionship, and foresight.”
Larijani was killed along with his son, Morteza Larijani, and the head of his office, Alireza Bayat, as well as several bodyguards.
Iran International had reported that Qassem Qoreishi, deputy head of the Basij paramilitary organisation, was also killed in the Israeli strike.
