Mumbai: Police bear arrested an autorickshaw driver, Mohammed Shaikh (25), from Shivaji Nagar in Govandi for allegedly stealing jewellery rate Rs 41 lakh from a senior citizen’s bungalow in Vile Parle (East) on January 19.
They’re now searching for his two accomplices. Police stated the group of three broke into Pathare Bungalow between 6.35pm and 7pm, when Pravin Pathare (63), a bit vendor, went out for tea on Hanuman Road and his wife stepped out to aquire milk. Police stated when the wife returned residence after half of an hour, she saw the locks of each and every the safety and necessary doors broken and the say ransacked. In his police complaint, Pathare stated: “At 7.15pm, my wife called me and said our house had been burgled.
I rushed home and found that gold ornaments and other valuables worth a total of Rs 41 lakh were missing from the iron cupboard.”Police stated Shaikh was once tracked down after a workforce scanned over 100 CCTV clips from delivery air Pathare Bungalow to Shivaji Nagar. Shaikh was once arrested and eight tolas of the stolen jewellery was once recovered from him. “During questioning, he confessed to committing the burglary along with his two aides.” Police claimed that Shaikh picked pockets and stole telephones on trains outdated to he joined the residence damage-in gang.
