However, the hosts outperformed them with the bat in the first innings, and the Blackcaps could not chase down the target.
Team India and New Zealand will now lock horns in the second T20I match on January 23, 2026, at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Raipur.
