Hyderabad: A retired district come to a resolution fell prey to the “digital arrest” scam and lost more than Rs.1 crore, police said on Monday. The cyber crooks threatened the 69-three hundred and sixty five days-ragged retired come to a resolution about per week ago claiming that his mobile quantity was as soon as stumbled on fascinated with females trafficking and diversified offences.
The sufferer, a resident of Malkagjri right here, transferred more than Rs one crore to them. After realising that he was as soon as cheated, he lodged a complaint three days ago and an investigation is underway.

In the digital arrest scam, fraudsters impersonate law enforcement officers to deceive victims. They intimidate folks by falsely accusing them of illegal actions and then demanding money, pressuring them to construct the price.
