Thiruvananthapuram: The SIT has told a Vigilance Court that Pankaj Bhandari of Clear Creations and Ballari-essentially based jeweller Govardhan Roddam performed a central role in a conspiracy to take gold from artefacts of the Sabarimala temple.
The SIT probing the Sabarimala gold missing case on Friday arrested every Bhandari and Roddam.
In a remand myth filed before the Vigilance Court in Kollam on December 19, the SIT acknowledged custodial interrogation of the accused published that Bhandari and Roddam, along with first accused Unnikrishnan Potty, deliberate the theft of gold that became as soon as entrusted to them for electroplating work.
In accordance to the parable, gold became as soon as quiet from copper plates of the Dwarapalaka (guardian deity) idols and various artefacts for the length of electroplating implemented in 2019. The accused were fully mindful that the gold belonged to the Sabarimala temple, the Particular Investigation Group acknowledged.
