Imphal: Manipur primary its fifty fifth Statehood Day on Wednesday with a grand command-level programme on the first Battalion Manipur Rifles Parade Ground in Imphal, attended by governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla.Manipur, alongside with Tripura and Meghalaya, attained statehood on Jan 21, 1972, underneath the North-Jap Areas (Reorganisation) Act, 1971.
